CSF Meeting 12/4/2013

Agenda

1.Shari- afterschool tutoring, needs donations of food
Twice a week , hour and a half.
Consider granola bars, fruit, pretzels, corn chips,
No msg, –
We need someone to check with Albertsons, smiths, etc
Also we can see if people have other connections for donations
Kate will send email.

2. Cara requesting CSF donation for scholarship for trip.

3. George needs to cut check from CSF to Frankie for Sports from garage sale.

4. Clarify CSF’s fundraising for Spirit Awards. Ideas ie, Zumba , Panda Express (20% return meal price to MDS)-Elisa Schleusener will check Panda Express Idea.

5.Consider membership fee mandatory next year 10$ to build balance for spirit awards.

6.George – Where are volunteers needed still? We are upcoming events?
January 21st PT conference – BAKE SALE???
MENTORSHIP APPRECIATION DINNER -FEB 20TH-LISA ADLER
March 5th lottery- carly volunteers needed for calls or attending
Mentorship Festival- April 29, 30 , may 1st volunteers-

7. I will put email out to staff about what is needed for volunteers.
Plus email to Carly to announce what is needed., as well as fundraising ideas with Albertsons, tutoring food.

PT conference Day Bake Sale

CSF made 135.14$ at the bake sale on Monday 10/28/2013. Thanks you to all the parents who donated time baking things and a special thanks to Cate Moss, Suzette Porter, Amara and Gabriel Gaur for their fabulous help manning the bake sale for us. And thank you to Frank Lucero for his help in closing up shop and utitilizing all of the left over baked goods for the Halloween Dance cake walk!

Events

 

1. Costa Rica Trip Fundraiser- unclear what they need, they haven’t contacted CSF.

 

2. Parent Teacher Conference Table of baked treats and coffee.

 

3. Athletic Teams-

November- we need a  parent volunteer for athletic field before November holidays

George will get list of athletic volunteers to Frank.

Plan a garage sale for facility fundraiser.

 

4. Art Department needs to decide on fundraiser. Frank and Mike.

 

5.Cara will write a script and sign up sheet about garage sale.

 

6. Halloween Dance- 430-630pm Need helpers for chaperones, decorators, charge for attendance 5$, deejay- need person. Open school Dance, with Costume Contest

PTSA MEETING SIGN IN SHEET DATE 4/25/2013
Quorum : George Brown, Cara Olson, Kate Dow, Jim Ledyard

Discussing focused fundraising plans for next year.
11th grade Parents invited to meeting for junior/senior dinner
George- has list of 5 parents involved. Cara Esquibel has list of Spanish speaking parents for texting- Cara Olson will see about sending out text tomorrow.
George has list of students signed up to help.Gilbert is doing food and being paid with funding.still need salad 1/2, and desserts needed in addition to Cass-tres leches cake.

All parents need to bring a dessert. Two parents need to bring salad. George will make juice water and spring water. We are assigning now.

Volunteer hours mandatory next year

Victoria will help make calls and George and Cara will be contacting people to pitch for salad and dessert.
